Plastics processing plant in Gdańsk — history and specialisation
MAJ-PLAST is one of the oldest plastics processing plants in Pomerania. We have been operating uninterrupted at al. Grunwaldzka 311/A in Gdańsk since 1993 — through three decades of changes in technology, materials and customer demands. We started as a small toolroom, grew into a full-cycle plant with our own injection floor, EDM machining and CNC milling.
What sets our plastics processing plant apart? Three things distinguishing us from many competitors: a complete production cycle under one roof (toolroom + injection moulding + quality control), continuity of the team (most engineers have over 15 years of experience at MAJ-PLAST) and direct contact with the client (no intermediary departments — projects are run from start to finish by the same engineer).
Specialisation of the plant. We focus on technical thermoplastics — PA6, PA66, PA66-GF30, PP, PE-HD, ABS, PC, POM-C, POM-H, PBT and engineering blends. We process more than 15 plastic families. Our injection floor consists of Engel injection moulding machines with clamping force from 25 to 250 tons, including two-component (2K) machines. The toolroom houses CNC milling centres, Mitsubishi EA EDM machines, surface grinders and Solid Edge CAD software.
Industries served by our plant. Over the 30 years of operation, the plastics processing plant in Gdańsk has supplied parts for the automotive industry (housings, clips, trim parts), medical (diagnostic device components), home appliances (functional parts of washing machines, dishwashers), cosmetics (packaging, dispensers), construction (window and door fittings, glass spacers) and electronics (enclosures, guides, brackets). Each industry has different material and tolerance requirements — our experience allows us to optimally match technology to need.
Quality and certification of the plant. The plastics processing plant in Gdańsk operates under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, regularly verified by external audits since 1993. Every batch undergoes dimensional inspection (digital callipers, micrometers, gauges) and visual quality control. For the automotive sector we maintain full batch traceability — every part can be linked to a specific shift, machine and operator.
